Parachute Regiment Lodge 9315

A SONG TO WELCOME US BACK TO OUR LODGES

One of the oldest secular social and charitable organisations in the world, modern Freemasonry’s roots lie in the traditions of the medieval stonemasons who built our castles and cathedrals…

The lodge has held several social events such as witnessing the Tower of London Keys ceremony a lady’s festival at a hotel usually outside of London that provides opportunity for our families to enjoy the company that these types of events provide. Importantly we maintain links with the regiment and serving soldiers.

Delve into the rich traditions of Freemasonry as we gather to celebrate our shared values and principles

WHERE WE MEET

Our meetings are held on the 1st Saturday of March, June, September and December, at 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AZ. they usually start at 11am thus providing members ample time to travel to London to join the meetings.  The June meeting is the installation meeting.

The Parachute Regiment Lodge was consecrated on 5th June 1989. Though named for our Regiment the decision was taken not to restrict membership to serving or former members, though the majority do fit that criteria. Our membership is drawn from a wide range of military, security and civilian backgrounds who all adopt our ethos, to be the best in all that we do…

Engage in enlightening discussions, partake in meaningful rituals, and forge lasting connections with fellow brethren

A SONG TO WELCOME US BACK TO OUR LODGES.
By W Bro Harry Benham PGStB

Lockdown has had such an effect on our life, not just as Freemasons, but in everything we do. Many of the Brethren have been eager, even desperate, to meet on the Square again. To dine and laugh together with friends and Brethren, and to return to that way of life we call normality. Now, what if there was an anthem for it?

W Bro Harry wrote and recorded such a song. It is called Let’s get back boys – Back to our Lodges.  Because, as Bro Harry says: We miss our Meetings and those Joyous Festive Boards. You can listen to it here

BACK TO OUR LODGES  (Lyrics by W Bro Harry Benham PGStB).

Those empty Temples
No Tyler’s calls
No DC’s walking
No VO’s talking
We’re far apart
And we’re all Locked-down
But we’re never locked-out
From a Brother’s heart

So let’s get back boys – to our Lodges

That’s the place – we love the best
With the Master – in his East Seat
And the Wardens – in South and West

Integrity is the key to our survival
Our Sentinel
Guarding all with silent pride
Over three hundred years of timeless signs and secrets
The Supreme Being and our Sovereign are our guide

So let’s get back boys – to our Lodges
That’s the place – we love the best
With the Master – in his East Seat
And the Wardens – in South and West

Our Friendship flows like the rivers from the mountains
Embracing All
Even Princes, Dukes and Lords
Both Brothers and Companions in a lifelong harmony
We miss our Meetings and those Joyous Festive Boards

So let’s get back boys – to our Lodges
That’s the place – we love the best
With the Master – in his East Seat
And the Wardens – in South and West

Respect
for all is our keystone and pillar
To stand squarely
To act fairly and upright
Walking and talking on that chequered floor of life
With level intentions, we point left and point right.

So let’s get back boys – to our Lodges
That’s the place – we love the best
With the Master – in his East Seat
And the Wardens – in South and West

Charity is the heart of every Brother’s mind
A helping hand
With no borders to our care
Whenever friends are few and very hard to find
Just reach out to us and a Brother will be there.

So let’s get back boys – to our Lodges
That’s the place – we love the best
With the Master – in his East Seat
And the Wardens – in South and West
