Parachute Regiment Lodge 9315

Expanding Horizons: The Kent Club for London Freemasons

One of the oldest secular social and charitable organisations in the world, modern Freemasonry’s roots lie in the traditions of the medieval stonemasons who built our castles and cathedrals…

The lodge has held several social events such as witnessing the Tower of London Keys ceremony a lady’s festival at a hotel usually outside of London that provides opportunity for our families to enjoy the company that these types of events provide. Importantly we maintain links with the regiment and serving soldiers.

Delve into the rich traditions of Freemasonry as we gather to celebrate our shared values and principles

WHERE WE MEET

Our meetings are held on the 1st Saturday of March, June, September and December, at 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AZ. they usually start at 11am thus providing members ample time to travel to London to join the meetings.  The June meeting is the installation meeting.

The Parachute Regiment Lodge was consecrated on 5th June 1989. Though named for our Regiment the decision was taken not to restrict membership to serving or former members, though the majority do fit that criteria. Our membership is drawn from a wide range of military, security and civilian backgrounds who all adopt our ethos, to be the best in all that we do…

Engage in enlightening discussions, partake in meaningful rituals, and forge lasting connections with fellow brethren

With an enhanced digital presence, an exciting events calendar, and a commitment to accessibility, the club remains dedicated to offering outstanding experiences for its Members and their loved ones.

A key highlight for 2025 is the upcoming President’s Dinner, which will take place on 14th June 2025 in the Members’ Dining Room of the Houses of Parliament. We are honoured to welcome RW Bro Sir David Wootton, Past Deputy Grand Master, Second Grand Principal of the Supreme Grand Chapter, and Lord Mayor of the City of London (2011–2012), as our esteemed Guest of Honour for what promises to be a memorable evening.

Membership at the Kent Club remains as accessible as ever, with an annual fee of just £10, making it one of the most cost-effective Masonic clubs in London. This modest membership fee opens the door to discounted event pricing, privileged access to select exclusive venues, and priority registration for high-demand gatherings. Every initiative is designed to ensure that all Brethren, regardless of their background, can enjoy the full range of benefits and experiences the club has to offer.

The club’s modernised website plays a central role in this endeavour, serving as a seamless platform for event registration, news updates, and the provision of exclusive content. Designed to be mobile-friendly and intuitively integrated with our digital communications, the website ensures that all members can easily access the latest information and opportunities available through the club. In addition, the transition of our Facebook page and group into a members-only environment has enhanced our digital presence, fostering focused engagement and secure, direct communication among Brethren.

In terms of recent events, the Christmas Drinks held at The Hercules Pillars, Great Queen Street in December 2024 was a resounding success. Forty Brethren gathered for an evening filled with festive cheer, complimentary drinks, and lively conversation, creating a warm atmosphere of networking and camaraderie. The overwhelming enthusiasm demonstrated by attendees has ensured that this festive celebration will become an annual tradition.

Beyond the seasonal festivities, the Kent Club continues to host a diverse range of social and Masonic events. Regular visits and tours followed by social drinks and dining provide informal networking opportunities, while fine dining experiences and exclusive Lodge visits allow members to immerse themselves in the rich heritage and traditions of Freemasonry. Educational talks and guest speaker events further enrich the experience, offering insights into Masonic history, symbolism, and leadership that resonate with both new and long-standing Members.

Looking ahead, the 2025 calendar is filled with exciting prospects. In addition to the President’s Dinner, the club is planning an Annual Summer Social, exclusive Masonic tours of historically significant Lodges, and further enhancements to our digital platforms. These initiatives, coupled with expanded inter-club collaborations, promise to foster even stronger bonds within our Masonic community and ensure that the Kent Club remains at the forefront of London Freemasonry.

With affordable membership, exceptional event discounts, a robust digital strategy, and a rich array of gatherings, the Kent Club stands as a leading force in London Freemasonry. The Kent Club Events are the perfect opportunity to promote Freemasonry to all those friends our members would like to introduce to the Craft; and we encourage every member to bring friends and family to most of our events. Brethren are encouraged to visit the Kent Club website and become part of our exclusive community to stay informed and actively involved in all that we offer.
