Mandate Lodge Supports Homeless Relief with Donation

One of the oldest secular social and charitable organisations in the world, modern Freemasonry’s roots lie in the traditions of the medieval stonemasons who built our castles and cathedrals…

The lodge has held several social events such as witnessing the Tower of London Keys ceremony a lady’s festival at a hotel usually outside of London that provides opportunity for our families to enjoy the company that these types of events provide. Importantly we maintain links with the regiment and serving soldiers.

Delve into the rich traditions of Freemasonry as we gather to celebrate our shared values and principles

WHERE WE MEET

Our meetings are held on the 1st Saturday of March, June, September and December, at 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AZ. they usually start at 11am thus providing members ample time to travel to London to join the meetings.  The June meeting is the installation meeting.

The Parachute Regiment Lodge was consecrated on 5th June 1989. Though named for our Regiment the decision was taken not to restrict membership to serving or former members, though the majority do fit that criteria. Our membership is drawn from a wide range of military, security and civilian backgrounds who all adopt our ethos, to be the best in all that we do…

Brethren of Mandate Lodge No. 4258 demonstrated the true spirit of Masonic charity on Thursday, 13th November 2025, when Immediate Past Master and Secretary W Bro Shahab Mossavat presented a cheque for £3,000 to the homeless relief charity at Shree Jalaram Temple & Community Centre in Greenford.

The presentation, which took place at the temple where Bro Raj Khiroya serves as President, exemplified how Masonic values transcend all boundaries. The warmth with which the donation was received highlighted the positive impact our fraternity can have within diverse communities.

This generous contribution from the Master's List reflects the collective compassion of Mandate Lodge's members, who rallied together to support those experiencing homelessness. The event was particularly significant as it showcased Freemasonry's commitment to practical charity work, strengthening bonds between the Craft and the wider community.

Bro Khiroya, expressing his gratitude, emphasised that “charity and caring knows no social or religious boundaries”, a sentiment that resonates deeply with Masonic principles. The success of this initiative serves as an inspiring example of how our Lodges can make meaningful differences in their local communities whilst promoting understanding and fellowship across all faiths and backgrounds.

The presentation stands as a credit to all the Brethren who contributed so generously.
