On the wet and windy Saturday morning of 7th December 2024, E Comp Nat Olaiya, Metropolitan Grand Standard Bearer, escorted E Comp Robert Chaproniere, PGSoj, Second Metropolitan Grand Principal, to the Centenary Meeting of Alfred Newton Chapter No 2686 at Freemasons' Hall.

The storms caused havoc, which meant that eight companions were unable to make the journey – including the First Principal Elect for the Installation Meeting, but the meeting went ahead anyhow, in good form.

Guests who accompanied The Second Metropolitan Grand Principal were E Comps David Ellis, PGSoj, Metropolitan Grand Inspector; John Buckingham, SLGCR, Metropolitan Grand Scribe Nehemiah; and the Chapter’s Visiting Officer, Simon Edwards, PMetGStwd.  E Comp Chaproniere was escorted by E Comp Nat Olaiya, LGCR, Metropolitan Grand Standard Bearer.
