Parachute Regiment Lodge 9315

Savage Ritual for St Pauls

One of the oldest secular social and charitable organisations in the world, modern Freemasonry’s roots lie in the traditions of the medieval stonemasons who built our castles and cathedrals…

The lodge has held several social events such as witnessing the Tower of London Keys ceremony a lady’s festival at a hotel usually outside of London that provides opportunity for our families to enjoy the company that these types of events provide. Importantly we maintain links with the regiment and serving soldiers.

Delve into the rich traditions of Freemasonry as we gather to celebrate our shared values and principles

WHERE WE MEET

Our meetings are held on the 1st Saturday of March, June, September and December, at 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AZ. they usually start at 11am thus providing members ample time to travel to London to join the meetings.  The June meeting is the installation meeting.

The Parachute Regiment Lodge was consecrated on 5th June 1989. Though named for our Regiment the decision was taken not to restrict membership to serving or former members, though the majority do fit that criteria. Our membership is drawn from a wide range of military, security and civilian backgrounds who all adopt our ethos, to be the best in all that we do…

Engage in enlightening discussions, partake in meaningful rituals, and forge lasting connections with fellow brethren

At Chingford Masonic Hall, London E4, on 17th May 2025, St Paul’s Chapter No 194 invited the Metropolitan Savage Ritual team to conduct the double Exaltation ceremony of Bros Angel Henandez and Casey Reid on their behalf. With over 40 Companions present, the traditional St Paul’s Chapter ‘very full English fry up’ was served for lunch… with Savage Ritual Team Leader, Metropolitan Grand Inspector E Comp Ian Burgess, enjoying seconds!

A few months earlier, on 21st March 2025 the Savage Ritual Team, at the request of the Provincial Grand Chapter of Essex, had been delighted to conduct a Savage Exaltation at Hutton Masonic Centre, Shenfield, Essex on behalf of Essex Chapter, Cornerstone No 9968. This ‘live demonstration’ was delivered in the presence of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, Paul Tarrant, together with a glittering array of the Essex Provincial Executive.

The Savage Ritual Exaltation ceremony is similar to that of the mainstream rituals but has been arranged to arguably make better logical sense and to make it easier for the candidate to follow; also being shorter in duration, and with no meaningful content lost. Companions will recognise much of the ritual, as it is more or less identical to that which they are likely to already use so, if a Chapter wishes to adopt it, little additional learning would be needed.
